Sergeant Darrell Jennings Brock fought in the trenches of the World War Two European Theater. After stepping onto Utah Beach in the famed Normandy landings, Brock was twice wounded by enemy fire and required several surgeries and months of convalescence. Constant thoughts of home kept him positive and encouraged.
