Pennsylvania's Coal and Iron Police

This is a pictorial study of the existence of the private police force that ruled the Pennsylvania coal regions from 1865-1931. With rare photos the story of the PA C&I is told through major labor conflicts that shaped our nation and lead to a PA State police force that served as the model for state police forces across the country.
