About This Book

Dr. Blevins explains the book of Revelation as a Greek drama. Through examples that parallel the popularity of the Greek drama he shows how John, the author of Revelation, used the foundation of the drama to convey to the early Christians of his time the cyclical messages contained in the book of Revelation. The book goes a long way to debunk the popular ideas of rapture and the concept of a tribulation period. Dr. Blevins book is a great attempt to make the book of Revelation relevant to every person's life on a daily basis and not allow Revelation to be used to scare people into a Christian life. As a former student of Dr. Blevins, who taught at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, I highly recommend this book to any who want to broaden his or her understanding of what John really is or is not saying in the book of Revelation.
