About This Book

The artist monograph is often associated with canonised artists. In contrast, the 240 pages of this book dwells on an artist?s first ten years of practice and was conceptualised to create a stable platform for further work. Ingrid Lønningdal is an artist working with a wide range of mediums ? from painting and photography to drawing and textile. She holds a master's degree from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. In her practice Lønningdal seeks to provide an understanding of the spaces we inhabit, often by using architecture as a starting material. Recent solo exhibitions include Fibre Reinforcement, Kunstnerforbundet (2019), Division of Space, Oslo Kunstforening (2017), and Grooves and Ridges, Trøndelag senter for samtidskunst (2017). Exhibition: Kunstnerforbundet, Oslo, Norway (15.08.-15.09.2019).
