A collection of articles dealing with the strengthening of environmental laws, legal procedures, and oversight, based on research conducted by the Public Prosecutor's office in 1997-98. The authors recommend measures to improve the organization and functions of the Public Prosecutor's office to ensure that environmental law is rationalized, legislation is improved, and penalties are imposed on violators.
