About This Book
"This thesis investigates the role of sensors as innovations within the practice and discipline of landscape architecture. By making visible the invisible forces at work in the landscape, sensors extend our ability to intervene on remote and fragile sites, expand the scope and duration of our engagement with projects through time, and increase our ability to communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders and audiences at varying proximity to the site. This design research is explored through a paired analysis of two contrasting peatland sites in Quebec, Canada--one an ecological preserve, the other a post-agricultural extraction landscape within a national park--in relation to a virtual exhibition/ office site." -- https://commencement.gsd.harvard.edu/thesis2020/portfolio/colin-chadderton/ (Viewed October 16, 2020)
