It is familiar, and respectful of what went before, but also irreverent in relation to stagnant forms and traditionalism. Does love have a color? Or is that just "a figure of speech"? An imperative put concisely? An abstract image that grasps onto color to start somewhere? All of that, but in unequal measure.
