About This Book

From Preface: This is the story of my mother's ancestry from its beginnings in North America more than two centuries ago. Mother's ancestors first settled along the upper reaches of the Petitcodiac River. This book focuses on two pioneer families - the descendants of Heinrich and Rachel Stief ( Steeves) who came from with the Pennsylvania Dutch Settlers and the descendants of Robert Colpitts and Margaret Wade who were part of the Yorkshire immigration that took place in the last decades of the 18th century.
