About This Book

Large retrospective of multi-faceted artist Fernando Llort Choussy (b. El Salvador 1949), who has experimented in Primitivism through painting, sculpture, and is also a musical interpreter and a composer. The topics present throughout Fernando Llort's life career have always been: identity, religion and idealism. "The main objective I'm trying to reach through my paintings and folkart is to re-encounter my roots as Latin American, and therefore contribute in defining our people in their human and spiritual dimensions" (Our translation)--P. 17. In 2003 he is honored with the distinction of "Hijo Meritísimo" by the Government of El Salvador for his artistic contributions.
