The book is a collection of short stories published in the Albanian American newspapers DIELLI in Boston and SHQIPTARI I LIRE in New York between1966-1972. When these stories were written and subsequently published, Albania was under the strictest communist dictatorship.The stories reflect the constant fear and hopelessness indeed the miserable life that the Albanian people endured under that regime.
