La vivienda de la burguesía en Mérida al cambio de siglo 1886-1916

The main interest of this research lies in the understanding of the relationship between the space inside a house and its inhabitants. During the investigation, the problem was addressed in two different but methodologically complementary ways. One part, gives priority to quantitative, analyzing location of homes in the city, their development in their locations, the recurrent spaces, their dimensions, as well as displacements, proximity and functional organizations, among other elements. The other approach, of qualitative nature, is a biographical exercise of the container of space, its content and the participation of both subjects, addresses daily life in each of the areas of housing of the Yucatan middle class-bourgeois society.
