Frederick Carter was born 20 September 1834 in London. His father was Richard Carter. He emigrated in 1858. He married Martha Embling 9 October 1862 in Auckland, New Zealand. They had eight children. He died in 1940. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Auckland, New South Wales, England and Utah.
