Mission-Commitment in Ancient Judaism and in the Pauline Communities

This is a PhD thesis answering the question: "Does God command all Christians to be doing evangelism?" Obviously that's over simplified but let's cut to the chase. See O'Brien's 1993 "Comsumed by Passion", published under a different name by the Americans in 1995 to compare. Dickson's book is a welcome corrective, although possibly stlightly overstates his case. The more rounded and popular edition is "Promoting the gospel" by John Dickson. Check that out too.
