El paso por tierra al California

History of eight expeditions by Spanish missionary, explorer, and royal cartographer for northwestern Mexico (1645-1711), based on primary sources. Kino documented land conection between California and rest of North America and disproved Francis Drake's assertion that he had sailed completely around "great island". Documents cited liberally in this text also illustrate friendship between Kino and various colonial officials and other missionaries.
