Walter Willson and his Crooked Creek Railroad

History of the Crooked Creek Railroad. Railroad was built in the 1870's between the Illinois Central line at Judd Iowa and the town of Lehigh Iowa, a distance of about 10 miles. Served the coal and clay mining industries of Lehigh. Absorbed into the Fort Dodge Des Moines and Southern Railroad around the turn of the century.
