Summary of the Problem

Candice Freeman, a ninth grader at Independence School Local 1 in Baltimore, Maryland, writes about police brutality, the responsibility of the police, and possible solutions to ending police violence. There is a definition and short history of the term "police brutality" and includes a list of legal rights of U.S. citizens. This zine was produced and assembled by faculty and students of Independence School Local 1.
