La ciudad histórica de Guadalajara

This research addresses the historic downtown of the city of Guadalajara based on changes in the urban trace, the transformations of public space, the changes of functions of the built space and the circumstances involved in such changes. It is intended to offer a perspective by criticizing and comparing some key concepts, starting with the criticism and comparison of some key concepts, starting with those coming from the ideas of Max Weber, in which, in addition to proposing an analysis of the models of cities, it manifests the predominance of the political and mercantilist actions that are perceived in urbanism and architecture through the architectural types and the succession of city models.
