Elli and her best friend Tara have a wonderful opportunity to revisit their best friends Jonah and Ricky at the boys' family estate, Garland House. The boys' parents are now offering working vacations - a course on organic self-sufficient gardening - and have offered horseback riding lessons to their first two paying guest families. It sounds like so much fun that the girls, who brought their horses, plan to help out!

But the old house may be haunted, possibly by its previous owner Silas, and that plus everything else seems to upset the paying guests. Is there really a ghost trying to drive the guests away and ruin the family business? Ellie and Jonah plan to find out!
