Valley of the Tyrant

This is about construction of a dam where Marland who carries the cross for a momentary indiscretion with a married woman is induced to take a job as an undercover operator to discover the reasons behind the falsification of the data aimed at moving the dam to a different location. He runs across 2 women who have their own crosses to bear.
