About This Book

The diary of Clayton H. Shuh (1883-1935) was begun during his first year at Ontario Agricultural College, Guelph, and continued until 1935. Clayton was a direct descendant of Henry Schuh (1895-1837), a Mennonite, who immigrated with his family from Pennsylvania to Waterloo, Ontario. Descendants changed the surname spelling to Shuh. Includes genealogical data about ancestors in Ontario and Pennsyl- vania. The editor has condensed some material in the diary, and "... editorialized to provide explanations and background information for the material presented." (2nd preliminary leaf).
