About This Book

"This catalog/reference book documents what we consider to be noteworthy proposals for projects concerned with public art, the environment, and community. These proposals are offered as models of support to organizations and individuals working along similar lines of inquiry, and to those willing and adventurous enough to extend their involvement with conservation and the arts one step further. The Hirsch Farm Project brings together a variety of professionals to reassess and challenge pre-existing concepts in their respective fields, and to produce proposals based on their findings. These results are presented in an effort to encourage the participation of others through independent sponsorship of a proposal, joint ventures, or simply by sharing information which will further the development of this ten-year project."
