Set Amsterdam

For Set Amsterdam, Dana Lixenberg photographed dozens of Amsterdam locations featured in the Dutch drama series Adam E.V.A. by Norbert ter Hall and Robert Alberdingk Thijm. Fascinated by the multitude and variety of the more than 180 locations used in the script for the television series, she decided to make a photo series of the city she left for New York more than twenty years ago: her birthplace, Amsterdam. She captures the city in the style of a film set, devoid of people, yet created and designed by its current and former inhabitants.
