Study on the life of Desiderio Arias (1872-1931), a notable Dominican soldier and a regional caudillo from the north in the Dominican Republic, particularly in the Montecristi region. Arias played a mayor role as leader in the resistance to the American occupation in 1916 and was also a defiant opponent of Trujillo, an action that eventually led to his murder. This edition includes a series of letters, decrees, proclamations and interviews with Arias.
