Employing a life history approach, their autobiographical accounts are examined to provide an in-depth and unique insight of their journeys into drugs and crime. The breadth of their experiences are addressed critically, including their childhood, teenage years, migration, parenthood, and their initiation and continued involvement in the UK drugs trade.Working with a particularly hard to reach group, Angie Heal sheds light on two particular issues: firstly, the men's motivations for coming to the UK; and, secondly, their trajectories and transitions from first arriving in the UK to becoming involved in the supply of drugs or associated crimes.
