The hour has arrived for me to state my position to keep a movement from destroying itself. Fundamentalism began as a grand and glorious organization to uplift the Lord Jesus Christ and defend Christological truth centering on His deity, virgin birth, substitutionary atonement and bodily resurrection. Presently, however, many of our leaders have become sidetraked. They now judge men and movements on the basis of a leader's likes and dislikes. These personal preferences are based upon man-made rules and regulations rather than the Word of God. If such prejudices against good and godly men continue, fundamentalism's decline and fall will be swift. Jesus said: "a house divided against itself cannot stand." - Foreword.
