About This Book

I found a copy of this book in the effects I collected from the home of my great uncle, who lived in Bowie Maryland and worked with the Department of Defense for man years. The book cover description, by 'AHJ' follows -
"The central figure, conceived in early 1944 by S/Sgt Tony Strobl, cleverly depitcs the many facets of psychological warfare operations as conducted by a mobile radio broadcasting company; mobilty(sic) by roller skates, monitoring by earphones, script and leaflets writing in pencil and paper, printing by slung hand press, broadcasting by microphone and antennas (2 radio flashes standing for 2d company). Of course only the proverbially diligent ant could could possibly do so many things simultaneously - or a Mobile Radio Broadcasting Co.
The cover design was originated by Tec 4 A. Van Hollander. He very appropriately employed as a backdrop a collection of psychological warfare leaflets which were showered over western Europe. Our several stops along the road to Victory in Europe, while obviously not geographically correct (and we oftendidn't know exactly where we were), conveys all that will in time remain - that is, a general impression and a lot of personal memories."
