About This Book
This is a compilation of short stories by a German-Russian woman, born 8. April 1858, who grew up in the Volga River Valley village of Balzer. Von Liphart studied at the Lyceum in Saratov and later spent 18 years in Baku in the Caucasus Region before fleeing Russia in 1922. She stopped at Lager Lechfeld (Camp Lechfeld) in Germany, before going on to the United States.
