About This Book
This volume was compiled in honor of Dr. V. Standish Mallory, who for thirty years served as curator of invertebrate paleontology at the Burke Museum and professor of geological sciences at the University of Washington.
Contributions to the Paleontology and Geology of the West Coast includes previously unpublished classical works from the 1940s through the 1960s that complement or enlarge upon Mallory's foraminiferal studies. Also included are more recent works by distinguished geologists, all students of Mallory, focusing on topics as diverse as Miocene fossil rodents and Eocene insects and plants.
