В книгу русскоязычной писательницы из Грузии Натальи Гвелесиани вошли четыре повести разных лет, центральной темой которых являются поиски истоков подлинного бытия, которые автор видит во внутреннем Свете, имеющем свой Исток. Две из них были опубликованы в «Новом журнале» и «Неве». За повесть «Уходящие тихо» в 2007г Н. Гвелесиани была удостоена литературной Премии им. Марка Алданова. В последней повести автора «Неправильные» исследуются на высоком философском уровне самые разные аспекты современной жизни. Среди вопросов, которые автор не мог обойти — немалое место уделено христианскому осмыслению военных конфликтов на территории постсоветского пространства. В частности — российско-украинского конфликта. Раздумывает автор и над тем, каким путем идти дальше российскому обществу. И даже предлагает – свою альтернативу.
This volume by the Russian-language writer from Georgia, Natalia Gvelesiani, includes four novellas written in different years. Their central theme is the search for the origins of authentic being — a search the author locates in the inner Light that has its own Source.
Two of the novellas were previously published in *The New Review* (New York) and *Neva*. For the novella *Those Who Leave Quietly* (*Ukhodyashchie tikho*), N. Gvelesiani was awarded the Mark Aldanov Literary Prize in 2007.
In the author’s most recent novella, *The Wrong Ones*, a wide range of aspects of modern life is explored on a high philosophical level. Among the questions the author could not ignore is the Christian interpretation of military conflicts in the post-Soviet space — particularly the Russian–Ukrainian conflict. The author also reflects on the path Russian society might take in the future and even offers her own alternative.
