A look at Ireland's "war of independence," 1918-1921, and its civil war, 1921-1923, under the leadership of Michael Collins. Collins was head of the Irish Republican Army, President of the Free State, Commander in Chief of the Free State Army and mastermind of the entire rebellion. He was assasinated August 22, 1922.
