A family affair

The Great War brings sadness for Nurse Emma Meadows and her parents: her brother has an accident while learning to fly a biplane, and after a neighbour spurns her, their young sister runs away from home. Emma, herself, loves Dr James Townsend and when he is reported dead on active service in France she goes there to learn the truth of his death - little knowing what she will find when she gets there.
