Women's access to legal and judicial services in Africa

The participants of the meeting deliberated on five key themes: mapping of women's access to judicial and legal services in Africa; specific country experiences on legal literacy and legal assistance in Africa; access to justice for women victims of violence; rural women's access to legal and judicial services; regional and international human rights complaint procedures relevant to women. This report contains: a general account of the meeting; outcomes of the regional meeting, such as an eight-year (2012-2020) Action Plan; text of the speech at the opening ceremony; results of working groups; list of participants.
