Last Chants (Willa Jansson Mystery)

On the way to her first day at a firm specializing in very-nineties multimedia law, attorney Willa Jansson is sidetracked by the spectacle of an old family friend brandishing a gun on the street. Knowing Arthur Kenna, mythology scholar, too well to believe he means any harm, Willa acts on instinct, engineering their getaway. As Arthur explains that a passerby pressed the gun into his hands, Willa knows the cops aren't going to believe him--especially now that she's his hostage. Now, they're both in trouble.
