'AIDS, our common problem' is a color illustrated book for new learners of Pulaar. It offers a didactic approach to learning about AIDS. It addresses the problem in the context of a mobile and dispersed Pulaar community in Africa, where there are more than 19 million people with AIDS (1997). The book has 3 parts: general information on AIDS and on its socio-economic consequences; preventive measures; and actions which a community group can undertake to address the problem of AIDS in their midst.

Ce livre illustré en couleur, s'addresse aux néo-alphabétes poularisants. Il a une approche pédogogique qui facilite la compréhension et la sensibilisation de la communauté pulaar très mobile et dispersée en Afrique où plus de 19 millions avaient le SIDA en 1997. Ce livre aussi expose aussi les conséquences socio-économiques de la maladie qui sont désastreuses.
