About This Book
All the Irish names and surnames contained within. Both anglicised and Irish names are listed alphabetically like a dictionary. This book is the definitive article in Irish names/surnames and their original spelling in Gaelic before their anglicisation and the phonetic mis-spelling and the inclusion of the O' instead of Ó (meaning; [seeded] from) because the Underwood typewriters didn't have the 'sheena fada' over the vowel back in the day. The compromise was the apostrophe after the O in Irish surname which unfortunately is used globally at this stage. ie. Ó Domhnaill = O'Donnell.
