Offentlig planlegging i velferdsstaten

Denne boken gjør rede for ulike trekk ved overgangen fra fysisk planlegging til samfunnsplanlegging i det moderne Oslo og Stockholm. Hele 1900-tallet er tidshorisont. Sentale aktører, politisk kontekst, lovgrunnlaget og endringer i de fysiske rammene for planlegging er tematisert. I særlig grad har det vært en ambisjon å bringe inn en fortolkning av endringer i plan.tenkingen og ikke minst hvilke faktorer som kan forklare endringene. Arkitekturfeltet, planleggingsfeltet og det bolig.politiske feltet er studert i en sammenheng. I tillegg er det forsøkt å analysere og presentere det mangefasetterte rollesettet som planleggerne til enhver tid har vært i besittelse av. Det har vært en sentral ambisjon med prosjektet å nyansere og modifisere flere planteoretiske og planhistoriske bidrag fra både tidligere og nyere planforskning. Det empiriske materialet, som i det vesentlige er hentet fra Riksarkivet og Kommunearkivet i Oslo, er supplert med programmatiske tekster fra norske og svenske arkitektfaglige tidsskrifter

This book describes various features of the transition from physical planning to community planning in modern Oslo and Stockholm. The entire 20th century is a time horizon.
