After a brief history of the nineteenth century Quad Cities, a history of architectural styles follows in Davenport, IA; Rock Island, IL; and Moline, IL. The last portion is a catalogue of common styles found in the quad cities, beginning with the Federal Period and ending with the Prairie School. It is helpful with callout labels of features to look for with examples in the Quad Cities. The book is out of print but found in major libraries of Iowa and Illinois.
