The book depicts the beginnings and development of social policy in the first Yugoslav state with emphasis on health and social issues, and at the same time presents the efforts of the then authorities and party politics to improve the situation of mothers and children, and at the same time try to analyze the number of births, illicit children and early mortality of children social situation in Slovenia in the first half of the twentieth century.
