O edifício da FAU-USP de Vilanova Artigas

The Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, University of São Paulo (FAU-USP) building was built in 1968 by São Paulo architects João Batista Vilanova Artigas and Carlos Cascaldi. It was designed to reflect austerity rather than consumerism. The project was based on the idea of ​​generating spatial continuity. Its six levels are linked by a system of ramps in an attempt to give the feeling of a single plane and favor continuous routes, increasing the degree of coexistence and interaction among those who use it.
