About This Book
"This pamphlet contains two letters, one from Louis XIII to his cousin, Henri II, Prince de Condé and the reply from the Prince. The first is dated July 26, 1615. The second is dated July 27, 1615. Both letters concern the young King's upcoming marriage and the trip to Bordeaux for the purpose of that marriage. Condé evidently anticipated the King's letter and wrote in opposition to the Spanish marriages. By this time the Princes had rebelled and were determined to make the King's journey as difficult as possible.as difficult as possible"--French Political Pamphlets Digital Collection, Brigham Young University.
