Placeholder' is a consideration of the role of knowledge in the production of reality and of the position of art in relation to knowledge. As a conversational artist's book, it invites ideas and thinking from different locations spread across the epistemological field. By juxtaposing brief academic and artistic texts with abstract imagery, the work proposes a reassessment of the larger debate on artistic research and knowledge production
