Contains three studies presented at the Policy Seminar on the Impact of Globalization on Population Change and Poverty in Rural Areas, organized at Bangkok from 31 March to 2 April 1999. Based upon these papers, other reports and country experience, the participants in the Policy Seminar adopted a set of recommendations that are attached as an annex to this report.
