La ciudad intermedia

This book makes, from a deductive reasoning, a preliminary analysis of what is meant by intermediate city and its characteristics, taking as an object of study the city of Girardot (department of Cundinamarca in Colombia). Qualitative and quantitative variables are collected and analyzed in order to establish the current importance of intermediate cities within the Colombian urban system; a system where cities, according to their functional relationships with other cities, can form urban agglomerations as a result of close socio-economic relations created and consolidated in space-time.
