About This Book
The Pakistan Journal of Social Issues (PJSI) was originally launched as a platform for the publication of research conducted at the Centre for Population, Urban & Environmental Studies of the University of Gujrat (UOG), Pakistan. To broaden PJSI's scope, it included all issues relevant to human development and social justice. PJSI prefers promoting the concept of wholistic research instead of upholding research efforts of a single institution. PSJI's wide scope now includes all disciplines that contribute to society's development viz. psychology, political science, anthropology, history, philosophy, economics, education, public health, statistics, law, business management, linguistics and literature. The journal encourages research efforts by both academicians and practitioners whose role is crucial to human and social development. Accordingly, it also aims to bridge the gap between the two.
