Child of the equinox

Biography of Edith Minano, daughter of a Japanese husband and a part-eskimo wife. She moved with her family to Wiseman, Alaska during the gold rush in the early 1900s. She was schooled at the Holy Cross mission on the Yukon river, then married Jack White and worked with him freighting on the upper Koyukuk river.
