About This Book
Mary Fowler was my science teacher at Estcourt High School in Hull, England from 1960-1965.I do not have a personal history for her. She is very interested in local history though. Holderness Road is a main arterial road going out from the city centre of Hull to the suburbs and beyond. There are 6 roads of this nature in Hull -Hessle road/Anlaby road/Spring Bank/Beverley Road/Holderness road/Hedon Road. They all have interesting history surrounding them, but Miss Fowler was an east Hull girl. Her books are probably only interesting to those who come from the East Hull area, but they are a good read for anyone interested in social history. Two of the books listed below are not hers. She is a mathmetician and scientist, not a medical person.
