About This Book

Title given is from front cover.

Page 1 is a letter to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia from Howard A. Wolf, chair, Board of Governors, Philadelphia Museum College of Art.

Plans called for the campus to extend from Pine Street north to Spruce Street, and from Broad Street west to Fifteenth Street, and to tear down the Furness-designed dormitory buildings. New buildings were to include a library and student center; Design Center; small theater; a gymnasium/auditorium; men's and women's dormitories. None of this ever happened.

Page [3] has a nice photograph of the Broad and Pine streets building (Hamilton Hall) viewed from the southeast (looking northwest).
