About This Book

A mock heroic satire on academic life in the vein of Alexander Pope in the 18th Century. The City of Uslusia under Queen Ambivilla is beseiged by the monster, Syllabus, bastard child of Kirikula, fathered by the god Xerox. The monster is attacked by the Queen's three loyal heroes: Digressions, Syrkuitos, and Melodios Borros, the later of whom, helped by the gods, defeats the beast and saves the City. Written in 1,000 lines of rhyming couplets in three books, the book is typeset, printed, and bound in a limited edition by the author.
