El canerousse

Two separate but interrelated compilations of slang from Mexico's criminal world, both previously published in obscure sources (authors themselves can no longer be found, for example). Bound back to back and head to foot, books illustrate astonishing complexity and creativity of criminal discourse in different ages (Diccionario del Hampa, which offers Spanish-to-Criminal Language lexicon, first appeared in 1938, and El Canerousse, organized in opposite sense, is undated but apparently covers last half of 20th century).
