About This Book

344 page, fully illustrated book describes Ontario's Niagara Park facilities of the past and present. Two chapters are significant to ropeway interests. The 14th chapter describes the Maid of the Mist Inclines, the original and the replacement. Both facilities have been replaced by elevators. The 22nd chapter describes the Spanish Aero Car, one of the most historically significant ropeways in the world. Operational details are fully covered, but technical details are minimal. The original installation, completed on August 8, 1916, was completely renovated and upgraded by Von Roll after the 1984 season.
